Mono Tool — intelligent phase recovery
A naive (L+R)/2 fold hollows out the moment your left and right drift out of phase. VINAImono analyzes phase conflict per frequency band and rebuilds the energy simple summing throws away with our own NEXT GEN reconstruction algorithm — solid mono, without the hollow.
VINAImono only ever acts on what is genuinely out of phase — perfectly coherent low end returns exactly (L+R)/2, nothing added and nothing delayed.
We ship numbers — measured to the floor of the instrument itself.
0 ms latency · bit-exact bypass · sample-rate-invariant · zero self-noise · 48 kHz

NEXT GEN splits the signal at ~300 Hz and runs independent phase-conflict correlators on the bass and the mid/high bands. Where it detects cancellation, it applies frequency-conscious gain compensation to recover the lost energy. Coherent material passes untouched — only the parts that would have hollowed out get rebuilt.
MONO FREQ sets the line between solid and spacious. Everything below the knob is folded to mono; everything above keeps its full stereo image. Lock the low end tight for translation and headroom while the air up top stays wide — anywhere from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, or wide open at FULL.
A scrolling phase-correlation history runs from +1 in-phase down to -1 anti-phase, with a red wash as it nears cancellation and a smoothed numeric readout you can trust at a glance. A MID/SIDE loudness meter sits alongside it so you always know how much energy lives in the sides. Zero latency — drop it anywhere in the chain.
A single switch moves between an untouched reference, the classic fold and the flagship reconstruction — so you can A/B exactly what the smart engine is putting back.
Dry pass-through reference. The unprocessed stereo signal, for instant A/B against everything else.
The simple (L+R)/2 mono fold. Honest summing — and an audible reminder of what phase conflict costs you.
Dual-band reconstruction. Splits at ~300 Hz, corrects phase conflict per band and rebuilds the energy a fold would lose.

mono nulls to the measurement floor on bypass — zero self-noise, no measurable crosstalk. A typical plugin leaves residual on all three.

Four bands, five distortion characters each — drive the spectrum hard, then sum it tight with mono.

The other half of the image — widen the top end, then keep it mono-safe under the meter.

See exactly what summing does to the waveform — bit-transparent, with phosphor persistence.
